I feel most at home browsing through the corridors of flea markets and tiny antique shops filled to the brim with delicious delights from the past....some times I may find something I once owned....like finding a long lost friend in the crowds..

By the warmth of the winter sun

My beautiful camellias have opened by the warmth of the winter sun on my little sewing table...do you see my pretty quilting...the colours are so similar..they make me smile.

My anniversary...

Today is the celebration of my birth...my dears i have only one friend in this time and today she brought me a tissue bag of pearl buttons and ribbons...only the finest silk threads and also a nosegay of early camellias..just in bud, but gradually they open from the warmth of the fire...we sat awhile and had tea...only the third brewing of the leaves so it was still strong....my pretty goldfinch sings in his cage, he is a delight to me in my solitude..the night draws in....




for you another year opens in the turn of the clock....may good fortune be your constant companion.
